In total, they were given a budget of £105,000. Since its inception in 2010, the Diaphonique fund has given £942,186 to 119 projects. This allowed to accompany and encourage the creation and programming of new works in contemporary music in France and in the United Kingdom. The Franco-British spirit is at the very hear of each project and nurtures a real exchange between musicians, works and aesthetics between both countries, a dialogue including Ireland since 2023, with the new partner Culture Ireland.
The Diaphonique fund is run by the Institut français du Royaume-Uni. The success of the Diaphonique fund was possible thanks to the support, unfailing commitment and contributions of the Institut français du Royaume-Uni, its Trust, the Institut français, the British Council, the Centre National de la Musique, the SACEM, Creative Scotland and the Fondation Salabert.
